Dean ‘El Diablo’ Dodge, undefeated professional super featherweight boxer. Fighting out of the Warrior gym in Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset under the stewardship of Dean Lewis, Dean is very much a local talent and his journey into boxing began by chance, aged just 11, like so many others, Dean had his heart set on becoming a footballer. One day his football coach asked him to visit the local boxing gym with a view to improving his overall fitness… and he’s never looked back since! Having amassed a successful run of 45 amateur bouts at an elite level, turning professional was simply natural progression for Dean. Now ranked 11th in the UK at his weight Dean’s story is inspirational, overcoming so many hurdles to chase his dream such as juggling a full time job with training every day, being denied a professional boxing licence and at times even sleeping in his car!
