Did you renew your insurance during lockdown?
Is your current occupation correct on your insurance policy?

During the Coronavirus lockdown period for many of us our work was affected. Whilst some people were forced to work from home due to the restrictions, as a sports professional its highly likely that you were unable to work or even train.

If you renewed your insurance policy during this period, you may not have declared your sporting profession on your policy as you were not playing at the time.

Whilst this may have been the correct information at the time of renewal if you have now returned to training and your job as a professional athlete it so important to have your occupation correct on your insurance policy. You may have returned to your sporting profession on a part time basis, this will also need to be added to your policy.

If you don’t declare the correct information to your insurer or declare any changes, they would be well with their rights to refuse to pay for a claim in the unfortunate event you should have an accident.
