George Ford

Professional International Rugby Player

Oldham born, George first appeared for the England under 18 team at the age of 15 and also played for the North and the national under 16 sides.

After becoming the youngest player to take part in a professional club match, George was crowned the World Rugby Young Player of the Year 2011 after his eye-catching displays for the England under 20 side.

George was included in the England Senior Elite Player Squad for the first time in January 2014 and made his first Test appearance at March 2014.

George was the top points-scorer in the 2015 Six Nations and also made more offloads in the tournament than any other player, but such success was nothing new. Becoming one of three England vice-captains for the 2017 tour of Argentina added to George’s many distinctions.

George initially appeared for Leicester Tigers at the age of 16, before moving to Bath in 2013. He returned to Welford Road in 2017.
