Georgina Hermitage

Professional Paralympic Athlete

Georgina Hermitage, MBE, is a British parasport athlete competing in T37 sprint events. She was inspired by the London Paralympics and became classified as a parasport athlete in 2012.

In February 2015 Hermitage made her international debut when she travelled to Dubai to take part in the Fazaa International, where she set a new personal best in the 100m sprint, winning gold in the process. In June that year Hermitage represented Great Britain again when she competed at the Berlin IPC Grand Prix, winning both the 100, 200 and 400m sprints.

At the end of 2015 Georgina represented Great Britain at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, coming away with Gold and Silver in the 400m and 100m respectively, her first major international medals. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, Hermitage won the T37 100m final becoming Olympic Gold Medalist.
