About Sports Cover Direct

Whether you need to protect your income, are travelling abroad or wanting protection at home, we cover most eventualities. Our products are tailored towards amateurs or semi-professionals taking part in sports and activities, including competitions. If you are a professional sportsperson, we can’t offer you cover – we define a professional as someone earning over £5000 per year from their sport, and/or doing their sport as a full-time occupation, and/or with a contract (paid or unpaid) covering them for doing their sport, and/or on a sports scholarship. How All Sport Began

The All Sport Insurance concept was initially developed some 15 years ago by Andrew Pearce. Andrew was an assistant referee for nearly 20 years with the Rugby Union Premiership and officiated in a Rugby World Cup. Still, his day job was car insurance, often he was asked for insurance quotes from his sporting peers. He couldn’t understand why it was difficult to get competitively priced car insurance for sportspeople, so he took the time to build relationships with insurance companies to solve the pricing problem for sports professionals.

Andrew created a specialist panel of non-standard insurers who now provide sportspeople like you with the specialist cover they need.
